Awhile back I had opened up another store on etsy. I wanted to just sell my photography there. Well, today I decided to try out ACEO cards. I have made a few, but never really tried to sell or trade them. So I uploaded about four and then ran off to do something else. Like I usually do. Later when I checked my email, I saw I had a sale! Thalia's Wonderland! How exciting! Now this is no way for me to get into the studio to actually paint something now is it? Nope. I had big plans of painting all day too. Instead I've been working on my store. But that's okay. I still have tomorrow.
I'm going to be in a new show this month at Planet Earth and the Four Directions Gallery. I'm very excited because I created a painting specifically for this show and am pretty happy with the results. I made a mixed media painting that consists of four panels. I decided to take the definition of the heart, love, emotion, and language. Each panel has the definition collaged and then painted over in watercolor, acrylic, and latex. They are all very textured and make bold statements.
