Why I don't like sculpture forums...
Remember when I posted images of Night and Day? Well, I have been wanting to find a way to market my sculpture a little more and found a website: www.sculpture.net. You can't really upload images unless you are in a forum. I thought I would add Night and Day and see if I got any feedback. I guess I was hoping for positive feedback, not rude comments. Here's one from IRONMAN of Silver City NM.
Hi, Get rid of those tiny breasts or whatever they're supposed to be. they don't work at all and take away from the power of the piece.
Figurative abstract? What the hell is that? AKA stylization? That to me is fence sitting or often student type of work.
You're work looks way beyond that and much more abstract than figurative.

I guess I liked the booblets. There's an awkward chunkiness about the piece that is resolved when you realize it's figurative/ related to a person. A person in transition, where the only sure thing is ... those. I wonder if better lighting might help the read of the piece, highlight the planes of the forms a bit better.
